Young peoples art class program
for 8 to 18 year olds
with Greg Devenny-Mackay
Greg works with beginners through to the confident artist.
Using charcoal, conte, pencils, pastel, acrylics, watercolour, oil paints and mixed media.
This program is respected throughout Australia and overseas. It is in its 8th year of operation and has been attended by children from local, interstate and diplomatic families. The work, which is done within the term develops to a very high standard. It is a program that is made successful by Greg's excellent instruction, easygoing nature and depth of experience. Many students stay in the programs for four to six years or more.
These exciting and artistically progressive classes and workshops help students to grasp inspiration and insights into the creative experience, manifesting drawings and paintings with supreme results. Young people focus on drawing and painting mainly from life covering still life, clothed figure and portraiture, landscape, cityscapes and many other subjects including photography. Birds and animals are also very popular.
They also do reproductions of other artists paintings and drawings in order to learn the techniques and application of various layers that underpin their successful outcome, which in turn, create the different artistic styles in art history, through to contemporary and abstract creations.
