Three-day high country retreat
Featuring landscape painting & drawing
This retreat suits beginner through to the confident artist. The workshops are located in the picturesque high country. The Snowy Mountains with its dramatic seasonal elements and changing subtle light qualities in naturalistic form gives the artist the opportunity to depict the landscape. Impressionist, representational & abstract works are rendered in the surrounds of the wilderness, open plains and the clear and invigorating mountain air.
Greg's techniques are easy to understand & develop making landscape painting a most rewarding and refreshing artistic breakthrough. This Retreat is very popular with many artists returning again & again. Private access to beautiful and never before painted destinations is also a part of the program.
These very enjoyable and artistically progressive workshops are underpinned by Greg's familiarity with the region. Having spent half of his life living in the Snowy Mountains on his family and other properties he is no stranger to the landscape. His knowledge of the often sudden and striking seasonal change and the harsh, but beautiful environment is evident in the landscape work that he has been commissioned to paint or draw to date. This knowledge is the foundational support to the success of the workshops. This is re-assuring to all knowing that they will accomplish a number of finished landscape paintings in a safe and supported environment, painting & drawing in mediums of your choice. The accommodation, meals catering, wonderful program, views and cost are all a delightful surprise.
