Adult Art Classes

Featuring life drawing & painting

Adult art classes at Lavender Art Studios provides a medium through which adults can explore and communicate their thoughts, emotions, and experiences, fostering introspection and a deeper understanding of oneself.

This wonderful artistic experience is set in a very dynamic and supported framework. The creation of individual distinctive pieces, ensures the originality and personal creativity of each art work remains with the participating artist.

Our adult art classes are dedicated to creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for everyone. Our community values respect, acceptance, and the unique perspectives that each person brings. We strive to provide a safe space where all participants can express themselves freely and creatively, fostering a culture of inclusivity and mutual support.

Subjects

Focusing on drawing and painting mainly from life, the classes cover a range of subjects including:

Media

Students will have the opportunity to create contemporary and abstract pictures using: 

  • charcoal

  • conté

  • pencils

  • pastel

  • oil paints, and 

  • mixed media.

More Than an Art Class

At Lavender Art Studios, students become part of a progressive, professional art-learning environment where skills, confidence and creativity are developed over time. Our highly experienced teaching team provides demonstrations, individual guidance and ongoing support throughout each class, with multiple members of our studio team working within the art workshop environment. This allows students to receive assistance as they need it while also developing the confidence and independence to create their own artwork.

 

A Place to Grow as an Artist

Established in 1999, Lavender Art Studios offers a dedicated studio environment where children, young people and adults can continue developing their art practice over many years. Students are introduced to an extensive range of traditional and contemporary media and are encouraged to build skills as they progress. From our youngest Little Lavenders through to teenage specialised workshops and adult art classes, our focus remains on quality teaching, individual artistic development and the enjoyment of creating art.

Whether creating art for enjoyment, personal development or a future creative profession, learning art at Lavender Art Studios opens artistic possibilities towards building artistic skills, confidence, creativity and a lifelong appreciation of the visual arts. Many of our students have gone on to undertake tertiary studies in the arts, pursue creative professions, exhibit their work, and receive awards and recognition for their artistic achievement.
