Little Lavenders Art Classes

For 5 to 7 year olds

The Little Lavenders program, expertly designed by our working director, offers a distinctive and enriching experience for young children.

With a focus on hands-on creativity, children are guided through a range of artistic techniques, including acrylic painting, watercolour, and mixed media. The carefully curated art supplies, selected by our head art teacher, ensure that each project is of the highest quality.

More than just an art class, Little Lavenders provides a holistic developmental journey. Storytelling and imaginative games bring each theme to life, engaging children’s imaginations and fostering both artistic and cognitive growth. Live harp music, performed by our resident harpist, creates a tranquil environment, while gentle yoga postures help instil relaxation and focus.

While the primary focus of our Little Lavenders (5–7 years) Thursday afternoon program is visual art, children are also immersed in a calm and nurturing studio atmosphere supported by live harp music, gently curated and performed by our in-house studio harpist.

Our harpist is also a qualified yoga instructor and, when appropriate, incorporates simple relaxation breathing and gentle yoga moments to help children settle, focus, and feel at ease in their creative space. This unique combination of art, music, and mindful movement supports confidence, concentration, and joyful creative expression.

With 9 in-studio sessions and 1 exciting off-site art excursion each term, children have the opportunity to explore creativity both within the art studio and beyond. Every detail is thoughtfully crafted by skilled experts, offering a nurturing, creative space that encourages self-expression, confidence, and personal growth.

It’s the perfect choice for parents seeking a truly special, well-rounded art experience for their child.
