The Lavender Art Studios holiday art workshops present a distinctive and concentrated opportunity for skill development and exploration for children and young people.
With over 25 years of hands-on experience, our professional art teachers provide individualized attention, tailoring guidance to each child's skill level, interests, and learning style. Students can hone specific techniques and explore many varied mediums, unrestricted by the time constraints of regular school schedules.
The flexibility and extended class durations of holiday art workshops allow for the exploration of various mediums, from painting to sculpture, aiding children in discovering their artistic preferences and strengths.
For those aspiring to pursue art within our broader curriculum, these holiday art workshops offer preparation by instilling foundational skills and knowledge, providing a valuable start when entering our regular art class program.
Students are supported by a professionally fitted-out art studio equipped with the finest art supplies. All materials are provided, and the cost includes delightful morning and afternoon tea, making this the ultimate creative escape for your little artists.

Artistic Whispers from the Enchanted Grove
Step quietly into The Enchanted Grove, where every brushstroke carries a whisper of myth and faery. Over two inspiring weeks, young artists will journey through drawing, painting, sculpture, and printmaking—transforming imagination into luminous colour and form. Guided by Lavender Art Studios’ professional educators, each day reveals a new story from the forest, where creativity blooms beneath branches of light and shadow

Afternoon (1.30 PM – 5.00 PM)
Watercolour Pencils: Whispers of the Woods
Soft and dreamlike, this session blends drawing with gentle washes to capture forest spirits and drifting leaves. Children explore tone and translucency, creating ethereal scenes that seem to breathe with quiet magic.

Sculpting: Forest Guardians
Working with clay and natural textures, students shape guardians of the woods—creatures born from bark, root, and imagination—developing form, balance, and expressive detail in three-dimensional design.

Inktense Art Bars: Mystic Streams and Moonlit Colour
Combining the strength of pastel with the fluidity of paint, Inktense Art Bars allow colour to bloom like mist through the forest. Students experiment with layering and blending to evoke light, movement, and atmosphere.

Posca Pens: Symbols of the Ancient Grove
Using vivid line and pattern, young artists invent symbolic emblems of the enchanted forest—runes, vines, and mythical marks glowing with colour and meaning.
Afternoon (1.30 PM – 5.00 PM)
Design & Printmaking: Impressions of the Enchanted Forest
Students explore the tactile joy of printmaking, pressing layered textures inspired by leaves and bark. Each print becomes a rhythmic impression—an echo of the grove’s heartbeat.

Watercolour Pencils: The River Between Worlds

Coloured & Graphite Pencils: Faery Portraits
Gentle linework and delicate shading reveal the personalities of forest spirits and faery beings. Using coloured and graphite pencils, children explore proportion, contour, and subtle tonal layering to express character and emotion. This session develops confidence in drawing from imagination while capturing the quiet grace and mystery of the enchanted grove.
