Before we proceed further with what has already been an incredible start to our Festival Carnival Art Workshops for the young budding artists of Lavender Art Studios, we would like to take a moment to highlight our inspiring Adult Art Class Program.
Following our highly successful April High Country Retreat, this last Term 2 we enjoyed a wonderful visit and workshop at the National Gallery of Australia. It was very special to return after such a long time away—we hadn’t visited since 2019—and we were warmly welcomed by the exhibition Cézanne to Giacometti: Highlights from Museum Berggruen / Neue Nationalgalerie. We also felt privileged to facilitate a workshop in the Australian collection.
In addition to offering exceptional art classes in charcoal, pastel, oil painting, specialised techniques, and other mediums, with thanks, we have recently been notified by students that a number of them are entering the Lanyon Homestead Art Competition and Exhibition. Greg wishes every success to all those entering the competition, both from Lavender Art Studios and beyond.
Over the next few weeks, Greg will be away from the studio at his own Lavender Art Studios contemporary homestead in the Snowy Mountains, planning the next Adult High Country Art Retreat.
Bookings are now open for adults enrolled in the studio's adult art program who wish to join us for the October long weekend retreat. Numbers are limited.
With creativity and connection,
from Lavender Art Studio
