Days & days of glorious art creation at THE ART STUDIO!

At the end of Term 1: For those young people who were due, we did send out the Art Class Certificates of Accomplishment. Remember, at Lavender Art Studios, we foster a deep appreciation for the arts and do not put forward a studio prize or run competitions. One of our mottos at LAS is “Practice makes progress.” Congratulations to all students at Lavender Art Studios—both young and adult!


Despite a number of public holidays this Autumn break, Lavender Art Studios is open for four days this week and three days next week. Our studio-based programs in watercolour pencils, acrylic painting, sculpting, printmaking, and posca pen have already begun to produce truly beautiful artworks from our talented young artists. The workshops have been peaceful, relaxing, and full of creative energy.


Meanwhile, our ANZAC Long Weekend Adult High Country Art Retreat is well underway. All essential arrangements—catering, accommodation, and site inclusions—have been expertly organised by Greg, who has also secured access to some of the region’s most inspiring destinations. The retreat features exceptional art tuition and is supported by one of our truly wonderful art class assistants, along with extra staff to ensure that creativity flows freely and participants can immerse themselves fully in the experience.


Looking ahead, don't forget to book for next term, as an exciting highlight for all of our students—from 5 years to adult—will be a visit to the Cézanne to Giacometti: Highlights from Museum Berggruen / Neue Nationalgalerie exhibition at the National Gallery of Australia during Term 2. Under curatorial guidance, students will also take part in a special workshop conducted by our team at the gallery. Gallery visit dates will be advised early in Term 2.
