For more than two decades, Owner and Director Greg Devenny-Mackay has been a prominent instructor of portraiture at Lavender Art Studios. Greg's extensive expertise spans multiple mediums, allowing him to proficiently demonstrate both drawing and painting portraits from life. His depth of experience is evident as he shares invaluable insights into the technical, creative, and emotional dimensions of rendering a person's face. Recently, at the art studio and over the past two weekends at the National Portrait Gallery, Greg has been generously imparting his advanced portrait skills and comprehensive knowledge, guiding both young and adult art students to master the nuanced art of portraiture.
