Lavender Art Studios continues to thrive with creativity and purposeful activity, preparing for a rich program of artistic experiences.
This week, our students have been actively engaged in a wide range of activities. In our Junior Little Lavender Studio, they observed landscape demonstrations and created their own beautiful landscape artworks. Meanwhile, students in the main school participated in refined charcoal portrait classes led by our skilled instructors. Under the guidance of our experienced teaching team, we have seen a remarkable volume of portrait work produced—an inspiring reflection of our students’ growing confidence and artistic development.
We are also greatly looking forward to our upcoming visit to the National Gallery of Australia to experience Cézanne to Giacometti: Highlights from Museum Berggruen / Neue Nationalgalerie. This major exhibition features over 170 works by influential modern artists including Paul Cézanne, Pablo Picasso, Henri Matisse, and Alberto Giacometti. It presents an exceptional opportunity for our students to engage with some of the most significant artworks in the history of modern art.
Tomorrow morning, we will also be facilitating an oil mixing workshop for adult students, and we are pleased to welcome a wonderful group of participants who have already booked in. We look forward to sharing this enriching experience.
In addition, we are delighted to see so many of our regular and returning students booking into our Festival Carnival July School Holiday Workshops. These workshops are a true highlight of the year, offering vibrant, hands-on experiences that nurture creativity, develop technical skill, and ignite a passion for artistic exploration.
