Studio Update!

🎨 Studio Update – The Art of Progress and Creative Discovery

It has been a vibrant and industrious week within the walls of Lavender Art Studios — a true celebration of art in practice, learning, and community. In just a over a week

, we have completed our Dinosaur Art Workshops for young people aged 5–13, conducted our splendid High Country Adult Art Retreat, and commenced our Term 4 Art Program, where creativity, technical understanding, and visual interpretation are once again in full expression.

Our December and January programs are now open for enrolment, including the Festive Art Workshops, the Teenage January Program, and our much-loved Planet Earth and Beyond Holiday Series for 5–13-year-olds. Each program has been thoughtfully designed to foster imagination while developing foundational and advanced art skills — from composition and material handling to the exploration of colour, texture, and form.

For our adult art community, we are developing an Oil Colour Mixing Course to extend knowledge of pigment interaction, tonal structure, and chromatic balance — essential studies for painters wishing to deepen their command of the medium. We are also planning a series of specialised studio workshops that will broaden artistic technique and conceptual understanding.

The studio is alive with creative focus and purposeful activity — a place where each artist, young or adult, continues to evolve in both confidence and artistic depth. Lavender Art Studios remains dedicated to fostering education through the language of art and the joy of continual discovery.

More Than an Art Class

At Lavender Art Studios, students become part of a progressive, professional art-learning environment where skills, confidence and creativity are developed over time. Our highly experienced teaching team provides demonstrations, individual guidance and ongoing support throughout each class, with multiple members of our studio team working within the art workshop environment. This allows students to receive assistance as they need it while also developing the confidence and independence to create their own artwork.

A Place to Grow as an Artist

Established in 1999, Lavender Art Studios offers a dedicated studio environment where children, young people and adults can continue developing their art practice over many years. Students are introduced to an extensive range of traditional and contemporary media and are encouraged to build skills as they progress. From our youngest Little Lavenders through to teenage specialised workshops and adult art classes, our focus remains on quality teaching, individual artistic development and the enjoyment of creating art.

Lavender Art Studios Opens Possibilities

Whether creating art for enjoyment, personal development or a future creative profession, learning art at Lavender Art Studios opens artistic possibilities towards building artistic skills, confidence, creativity and a lifelong appreciation of the visual arts. Many of our students have gone on to undertake tertiary studies in the arts, pursue creative professions, exhibit their work, and receive awards and recognition for their artistic achievement.

Lavender Art Studios acknowledges First Australians and recognises their continuous connection to country, community and culture. We acknowledge the Ngunnawal and Ngambri People as the Traditional Owners of the land we live and work on.
